Practice: Time Blocking
Balancing college life was a struggle until I discovered the concept of time-blocking (Yang, A., 2023). By segmenting my day into dedicated blocks for studying, attending classes, and engaging in self-care activities, I regained a sense of control over my schedule. It helped me, especially when finals week was around the corner last semester. I used time blocking to allocate specific study hours for each subject during that time. This approach not only enhanced my productivity but also reduced procrastination and anxiety.
Resource: Google Calendar
Google Calendar has been an invaluable tool in effectively implementing time blocking. Its user-friendly app, color-coded events, and reminders keep me organized and accountable. I customize my calendar with study sessions, meetings, and even downtime for relaxation, ensuring a balanced approach to my daily activities.
