About Me

Hi there :)! I’m Eneli Perez Cedillo, a first-year college student at the Sophie Davis Biomedical Education Program, tackling an exhilarating journey toward becoming a physician. My upbringing in a close-knit family deeply rooted in Mexican culture has shaped my values, aspirations, and perspective on healthcare.

My journey into medicine is fueled by a desire to address healthcare disparities, particularly in underserved communities like mine. I believe that diversity, inclusion, and cultural competence are essential pillars of effective healthcare delivery.

As I step into the world of higher education at Sophie Davis, I am eager to immerse myself in rigorous academics, hands-on learning experiences, and opportunities to make a meaningful impact. I aspire to be a physician who not only treats illnesses but also addresses social determinants of health, advocates for health equity, and fosters trusting relationships with patients from diverse backgrounds.

Outside of academics, I enjoy connecting with others, exploring new cultures, and advocating for social justice causes. I believe in the power of community, mentorship, and collaboration in achieving our goals and making a positive difference in the world.
